"I want to be an author!" - The Story About Our Publishing Wishes Coming True

Barbara: Margie, I remember you saying you want to relate F” is for Fabulous to having our publishing wishes come true. Tell us a little more about that, won’t you?

Margie: I was thinking over the weekend that when I practice gratitude, part of the foundation for my gratitude is my wish practice. This is because my wish practice has demonstrated the positivity, the potential, and the possibilities of what the Universe delivers - it’s beyond anything I could imagine. My level of trust and hope is reinforced by seeing my wishes come true and practicing gratitude for what I receive. For me, that all adds up to being “fabulous”!

Barbara, I know you hold a lot of the same views having had your wish to publish come true. What would you like to say about that?

Barbara: I’d like to say a lot, but I’ll keep it short! I’ve been told over and over that I should write for publication, but I was too scared to do so. One of my key wishes was for a partner to publish with - to take some of the edge off stepping out all by myself - and there you were! When we started to talk about wish work, I remember you saying early on, “We should write a book!” All I had to do was let go of the fear and fly with you through a process that was so much easier than my frightened imagination could conjure.

And then there was Lisa! We owe a lot to our publisher and friend, Lisa Hodorovych of Quoth the Writer, L.L.C.! All we had to do was write. She took the rest of the fear away by making the whole process smooth and smart.

Margie: Isn’t it interesting that there were multiple wishes that the Universe heard and delivered in a unified response? First, the wish to have what we write published. Second, the wish to have a partner to share the experience. Third, the wish to have a skillful yet friendly publisher. And fourth, the wish to have our work recognized in public. We can proudly say that all of it came true! And on top of all that, I had a fifth wish to have my photos published and that came true, too; all wrapped in one, bright, shiny package!

Our book is a perfect example of how the Universe works, which far exceeds our ability to vision and plan. And look at all the spin-offs that have emerged from our original wish to become authors.

Barbara: That’s right! We now have a Facebook page, this blog, a calendar, and soon a journal! We’ve had workshops about this in the past and more are coming in the near future. And all the while, we both have active wish practices with more wishes coming true for each of us every year.

Margie: When you put it like that, it really is fabulous, isn’t it?

Barbara: It sure is!

Margie: I’m glad we had this conversation! Next week, in our FAQs Section, we are going to talk about one of your favorite topics: New Year's Resolutions.

Barbara: If by “favorite” you mean how I came to the conclusion that New Year's Resolutions work better when they are formed into wishes, then yes, it is one of my favorites to discuss!

But until then…

Peace and All Good,

Margie and Barbara
