Back in August of 2022, Margie and I had a “sidewalk sale” at our favorite shop in Ocean Grove, NJ for all things “mindful and magical.” The day was perfect in every way, especially with people coming in to talk with us, buy our books, and tell us their stories. We met a lovely lady that day, who told us a story about how her wish for a beach cottage came true.
She was living in Brooklyn, and she had a health challenge, which, happily, she overcame. During that time, she made a wish to live in a cottage at the beach. She found herself “down the shore” (that’s what people from New Jersey call the beach), and, low and behold, the perfect cottage was available for sale and guess what?! She bought it! She now lives at the beach, and the smile she wore as she told the story of her wish coming true was all we needed to know that this was exactly the kind of wishing we practice.
