"V" is for Vision

We thought of “vision” for the letter v because wishing is a lot about creating a “vision” of your life and then making the wishes that will fulfill that vision. It is kind of like color-by-numbers; the vision is the template, and the wishes are the colors that will fill in that template.

For those of us who have not done a lot of visualization - a basic skill to create a vision - it can help to physically create something like a “vision board.” Barbara has said in the past that she gets a little nervous - just a little - using pictures created by other people to formulate her vision, but she believes it is a good place to start.

You can use paper, magazines, markers, advertisements, photos, and the like to create a physical vision board. Or, like some of the “techies” we know, you can use PowerPoint, G-Slides, or similar programs with clip art to create an online vision board.

Another way to visualize is to do a guided meditation, one that is specifically designed to help put you vibrationally in the picture. There are plenty of examples online for you to find. Here’s one we like.

The basic idea is to live life looking into the future without the limiting thoughts that have historically imprisoned us in the past. We have discovered that the more we think about how it has been for us, the less we are creating the emotional vibration - the feelings of joy and fulfillment - that are necessary to bring about our wishes for an abundant life.

So take time as soon as you can. Close your eyes, if it is safe to do so, and imagine exactly what it looks like when you have something you would like to have in your life. Maybe it is something for which you have already wished for. Then create a full color, vivid, lively picture - a motion picture, if you will - of you living in that reality of your wish coming true.

Do you feel a smile come across your face as you picture whatever it is coming to you? Stay with that smile! That is the vibration you want for your wishes to come true.

Next week, our post will be all about gratitude, wishing, and our partnership!

Until then,

Peace and All Good
