Being a "Vibrational Match" to Our Heart's Desires

What do we mean when we talk about being a “vibrational match” to our heart’s desires?

We are not the first to write about this idea. Most of the writers we read talk about how important it is to embody the feelings that accompany receiving the outcomes we desire. We have been asked, “How can I do that before the outcome arrives in my life?” Excellent question!

It begins when we read our wishes out loud throughout the year. This is not just a rote exercise, but rather a regular opportunity to align our emotions - our living vibration - with our heart’s desires. We both have daily practices of pausing, breathing, celebrating what we have, and expressing gratitude. The need to align emotional vibration adds an element to daily practices of actively evoking the emotions that will accompany the arrival of that outcome.

Let’s pause right here and look closely at an example of this in action. A point worth noting, we are about to discuss “how” to evoke emotion. We have said in past posts to avoid “how” when it comes to wishes, but these are two very different “how’s”.

  1. How to evoke emotion is not always evident. But it is necessary to align our emotional state - our vibration - to the realization of our heart’s desires, our wishes.

  2. The “how’s” we avoid are the nitty gritty of “how” the Universe is going to deliver on our wishes. If we try to control that, we will miss out on the miracles the Universe can provide, if only we don’t micromanage.

There is more than one way to align vibrationally. Some people, like Margie, use mindfulness methods. In meditation, she calls on her senses to first evoke trust, hope, and belief that the Universe listens and will provide. This opens her to the feelings of the fulfillment of the wish, whether it’s joy, thrills, excitement, peace, or love.

Other people, like Barbara, like to visualize. We talked in our last post about how Barbara wants to see The Music Man on Broadway this year with Hugh Jackman as the lead role. What does she do? She regularly imagines - visualizes and then smiles to start the wave of emotions - what it will be like to settle into her seat and hear the opening measures of the overture. She sits in that beaming smile, the literal vibration of the thrill of that opening moment.

You don’t have to do all or any of this! We offer these as specific examples of how one can get in tune with their feelings - their “vibrational match” - trusting the Universe will deliver. So if you ever find yourself saying, “If this is really a heartfelt desire, why isn’t the Universe answering?” Perhaps you need to take a step back and consider if your emotions - your vibrations - are in line with your wishes.

We would love to hear from you with any questions or comments you have about this, or any other of our posts. Next time, our blog will be brought to you by the letter “G” for gusto!

Until then,

Peace and All Good
